Student Research and Travel Award
Purpose:
To encourage and support research activities among undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (OMFR). This can include (but not limited to) funding for materials, equipment, and travel.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be:
- An undergraduate or graduate student (DDS/DMD, Masters, PhD) enrolled in a Canadian dental school.
- Supervised (primarily or secondarily) by an Active, Associate, or Honorary Member of the CAOMR.
- Conducting research that aligns with the goals of CAOMR or the advancement of OMFR profession.
Award Details
- Number of Awards: Up to four awards/year, totalling up to $2,000 CAD/year.
- Duration: The award is provided as a one-time grant, with the possibility of re-application in subsequent years for different projects.
Application Requirements
A complete application (maximum 1,000 words) for this award will consist of the following details:
- Research Proposal/Abstract: A clear and concise proposal outlining the research project, including:
- Introduction and background of the study.
- Research objectives and hypothesis.
- Methodology and research design.
- Expected outcomes and significance of the research to OMFR.
- Timeline: A project timeline, showing milestones from start to completion of the research.
- Supervising Active Member of the CAOMR.
